My favorite lil smile. Love my daughter. This is such a great representation of love in and love out. Here is this sweet child who has walked through many trials in life, in family and even during her own personal challenges. This young girl who will be twelve in several days or so knows who she is and is quite comfortable weighing out her needs and wants and derives the importance of that all through Christ as her example. For her, she is still in her infancy as as Christian and how precious that can be. She is finding how God’s word ribbons through the details of her own cloth and how to shift her human behavior to bend at the feet of Jesus. She is perhaps young in understanding of the world’s ways as of now and as much as I can I keep her from the unnecessary of that all. I share with her the must knows and the sometimes unfortunate relates we face here in earth so she is prepared.
What I adore about this particular photo is the presence of Christ living in her. This I know because of the love speaking out through these eyes. The love that is in is also coming out. It is curious to know me and to sit with me in love. It wants to share with me what it knows and fill in what I do not yet understand of it. It wants not to judge me; not even from the minute of mistakes before or the mountain of ones from the rest of my passing through. It does not want to rush me and tell me that the world has more important things to do and that we can’t sit close in to each other and feel appreciated without wanting to be better than the other.
This love never meets in with hurts but with truth of what is real, what is important. It gets to the point which is always Christ. When we meet together as Christians and as families of Christians, with love and with Him right next to us. We must remember this and honor each other with love, with kindness of this and tender gardening of each other.
My daughter here says it all. “Hi there person who is my Mom in life, one who holds my hand and the Hand of Christ. I am curious about this love inside, this love i know you live in but don’t own. Sit with me a while and lets be of it. let us be of Love. ”
That simple- Be of Love always. With everyone. We should be looking for that curiosity of sight in the hearts, minds and eyes of others and know that it is our duty to honor God and honor this growing tall in Christ in others. It is about fellowship every single moment of every day. It is all about Him.
It is a wonderful life really when the ones around us all start reminding us of Him instead of the world around us. In this we can know that our lives are living in Him, with honor and with His miracle of Love.
Prayer is so important- it is truly our special time with God. It is the time, the breathing out of our life in a sense that we do together with God. Of course we can spend this time asking for the healing, protection over, strength for us, our family and friends but imagine this if you have yet to; God is not only your God, He is indeed your Papa and you His little child. What this means whether you are man or woman, “tough”, introverted, leader, doer, sinner, CEO, artist, toilet bowl cleaner etc, it means you have this amazing Father who knows everything about you and He loves you more than anyone could ever love you. It does not matter the cause behind your last 5 weeks, 5 months or five years. What matters is what is in that five minutes more or less of course that you spend with Him in prayer. Prayer that is you and He spending time in the telling from your heart and the listening of His answers. Prayer is also never saying anything at all and The Holy Spirit will for you with sure groans of things that are too deep for words (amazing experience this is). Prayer is going over your day with God and meditating on His word. Prayer is about changing our hearts, not routine words that sometimes take over our prayer life just to say that we prayed. Prayer is our connection with our true family, Our God that we have in inheritance of Jesus Christ. In prayer we are given guidance, we allow the world to step back and disappear and we allow the eternal perspective of our hearts to be led by The Spirit. What would be the first thing you may say to God upon being in front of Him? We certainly come into His presence in prayer, so tell Him those words, don’t wait. It will change your heart and your existence here into something that grows for Him and also brings light to others. If we keep quite in our time of prayer because of tradition or timidness or just feeling lost for words, go somewhere quite close your eyes and know God is with you just waiting to hear the deep parts of your heart.
I really love hearing this song. It is a great reminder to all of us to lead each other in our relationships, whether it be romantic, family, friendship and every relationship it may apply to.
Remember that each moment is a moment to lead and be the light. It can be lonely sometimes in life from moment to moment even when things seem to look so perfect for the people in our lives.
No matter how great someone’s life may look to you or perhaps not, we must take every opportunity to speak to them from our hearts, to be the light and lead them to a loving place at every opportunity.
We should never intend to lead them to a place to help better ourselves or for self edification. We should seek God each day and ask Him how He wants us to lead folks to Him each day.
He will put on your heart the love speak, the words, the things to do or remind you of the times to be quiet.
Our goal here is one, to worship our God and also we are commissioned to lead each other to the cross daily.
Each one of us also yearns for fellowship and to be led. Let us do that for each other everyday. We can’t do this life alone, you have to be willing to fight…even past your own obstacles that were life created. All we have to know is to ask Him everyday how to and he will lead us how to do it!
The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves
them. The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he
That’s important for all of us to understand: “The Lord is near to all who call on Him.” From my experience, the Lord is as near to you as a prayer. If you feel that God is far away, all you have to do is call on Him, to begin to pray to Him and that sense of His distance will disappear. Our sense of things are not what is true.God is true and can overcome us and our thoughts of what we think we know of how things really are.
To me, that’s one of the marvels of this life of faith, that I can just
close my eyes, bow my head and immediately be in contact by prayer with
almighty God. He is near to all who call upon Him. He fulfills the desires of
those who fear Him. If my heart is right with reverence and awe before
God, then the desires that are in my heart and expressed by my prayer, He
will fulfill. And when I cry to Him, He saves me, He watches over me
because I’m committed to Him. That is his loving care for us in each of our lives and when we see with what we do know, that he is there. That’s true for each one of us.
So, if you are feeling lonely, perplexed and you don’t know where to turn,
remember: God is just as near to you as a prayer. “The Lord is near to all who
call upon Him.” There are no exceptions. Try calling upon Him and see what
He will do for you. I promise that if you step out in faith you will experience God’s care and His divine providence in your life.
My times are in your hands
What a profound and blessed revelation – that God has absolute control over all the times in our lives. God is the only one in the anywhere, the universe that totally controls time. This is beautifully demonstrated in the heavenly bodies. Countless millions and millions of stars move around in the universe with absolute precision. Isaiah the prophet says that the Lord calls every one of them forth by name and they are all present, not one is wanting. How beautiful to know that. Wen you look to the sky, do you realize that the stars are written in movement in every way by your heavenly Father? He makes the song, He then creates the dance.
The sun never rises late or sets early. Astronomers can calculate the exact place of every heavenly body in the remote past, in the distant future. God has absolute control over time and what David realized when he uttered those words is this: that God has absolute control over the times in our lives. He’s never late. He’s never premature. He has a time for every situation, every circumstance. If we will just commit our lives totally into His hands, we’ll find that our times are in His hands. What a relief from pressure, from strain, to know that God has control over the time. He sets the path for our footing,no matter what forks in the road we face. If we stop, take pause and ask Him…all we have to do is step out in faith and follow His road for us. He knows the way, we just need to trust Him.
Girls…remember that God made you exactly how you were supposed to be.never think you be anything else then that!
I often spend time alone thinking about how things work. Things like you and me and how we approach and react to one another. I usually sit long in these thoughts. I allow what I find to overcome me, usually in a drowning fashion due to the nature of the subject mater. Humans are not very good stewards of other humans. We don’t value others as much as we should enough to give constant lovingkindness to one another. Human are mean. Humans are selfish. Not a new thought but none the less something i take to God in prayer often.
Sitting in these thoughts for enough time and drowning in my own awful discoveries of us all and who we are, leaves me searching upward for answers and for healing. There is a hurt that is alive moving through all of us. We choose to become our human selves everyday and create mountains of hurt that we throw at others because if we didn’t we would become so heavy we would never be able to keep up with the forward we need to go. Mr. This meets Mr. That and This gives That something and That becomes more like This and needs to do something with That and it goes on and on, an assembly line of the same this and that junk that we feed off of. We try to make our junk look good and behave properly and really all we are left with is junk.
We should not collect junk. We don’t use it but we consume it, the junk of the in between of all of us. We keep it, not to share it but to own it. We own it not because we like what it is and how it molds us but it keeps us from being true. Truth is raw, truth makes us uncomfortable because most of the people around us do not like it and it makes us much too different than the rest of the world. We keep collecting junk because it keeps our hands full enough to not carry truth. The junk will never add to anything except a pile we can not see past.
The thing about God is that He wants our junk. His ability to make our junk meaningless and into nothing is a part of who He is. He does this through our coming to Him in prayer. Prayer is more than a request it is a meaningful communication with God. The creator who thought to make you and made me wants to spend time with us. Next time you feel disconnected from God know this: He made you to communicate with Him. He made you just exactly as you are and you are postured perfectly to spend time communicating with Him. He also knows every thing about you and me. There is nothing hidden from Him. Not even your secret stash of junk. What are you holding onto? What is it that keeps you carrying such a heavy load and pushing people around with it and thinking you need to keep dragging this stuff around? God is saying to you and Me, give me your junk. Pick a time, a space a quiet moment and bring Him all you have. He wants to take it and make it disappear and empty you enough to fill you up with the important things you need. The things that will help you grow, help you to help others grow and help you to stop being so human. He wants you to be less human and more like Him. He wants us to be of Truth.
Pray often but not requesting things that really don’t matter. Pray by bringing your heavy load of junk to the floor, dump it down…stay on your knees and let it all go. Talk to Him about what got you there that day, why that junk collects in your arms. Talk to Him, tell Him what you yearn to really have as meaning in your life. Tell Him the things that you love, the things that not only make your heart sing but that brightens up the lives of others. Tell Him the things that are true to you. Ask Him how He can use you to make meaning here on earth. Pray knowing that you were made in His image, that you are supposed to be living to be more like Him, not yourself. In this you will know that our lives are not about the junk of being human at all. Live like that, pray like that and start loving others like that.
No matter where we may go, God is there by His Spirit—invisible, often imperceptible, but inescapable (see Psalm 139:7-12). For the unbeliever this may be a terrifying thought, but for the believer it is a comforting, strengthening assurance. No matter where we may find ourselves, “even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.”
In the New Testament Jesus Himself gives us this assurance: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” At times we may not be in any way conscious of His presence, but by His Holy Spirit He is there. Our surroundings may appear totally dark, but “the darkness shall not hide from You . . .”
Each one of us needs to cultivate an inner sensitivity to the Holy Spirit that does not depend on the evidence of our physical senses. When our senses tell us nothing about His presence, or even when they seem to deny it, there should be an area in the inmost depths of our own spirit that maintains an uninterrupted awareness of the Holy Spirit’s presence. Then we shall more fully understand why He is given the title of “the Comforter” or “the Helper .”
Notice, the little things come before the big things. If you want to have responsibility committed to you in this life, whether it be by God or by man, cultivate faithfulness in the little things. Cultivate punctuality. Cultivate answering your emails and messages. Cultivate keeping your promises, even if they are only apparently trivial things, because there is a God who is watching you. He’s assessing your character. He’s determining whether you are to be trusted with great things.
Some people have got all the words and all the qualifications but they never come up with results. Even if you have to find somebody to work for you or somebody to work with you, don’t go just by the big words and by their qualifications. Watch that person in small things. See how they handle the little responsibilities. Judge them by the way they behave when nobody’s watching them, when issues don’t seem big. Because the truth of the matter is, if they are faithful in small things, they will be faithful in the bigger things. If they are unfaithful in the small things, then don’t commit to them the big things. That applies to those with whom you want to work. It applies to you, too. And it’s God’s way of assessing you and determining what you are really worth. He watches you in the small things and judges you from those.
Basically, there are two ways of getting things: One is receiving and one is grabbing and taking. A lot of people get things by grabbing, but the trouble with grabbing is what you get is not permanent. You can have it for a while, but ultimately it will not be yours. It will just be stuff, and stuff you don’t need. The other way to get things is to receive. To receive what God has for you. And in the long run, you are not going to have more than you receive from God no matter how good you get at grabbing for yourself.
The only thing that’s permanent in your life or in mine is that which we receive from God. So why don’t you stop grabbing for awhile. Stop grasping, stop trying to get, and just turn to God and say, “God, whatever You want me to have, that’s what I want. I’ll be more than good enough. I will not go after that big position or that large sum of money or temporary pleasure unless, God, I can receive it from You.” Because what you receive from God will bless you. It will be truly yours. It will be permanent. It will not do you harm in the end. Whereas the things you get by grasping often, in the long run, you’ll be sorry you ever reached for them and grasped them. It was something you went after from your own self, not the heart of God. So remember the true things, the things that bring peace and real blessings, are the things that you received from heaven and from God.
